Meet our leadership team
Joel Grossman brings a distinguished career in public accounting, finance, operations, mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and entrepreneurial ventures to BG Business Advisors. His background combines financial discipline, hands-on operating experience, and real-world transaction expertise across multiple industries.
Joel began his career with KPMG, followed by roles with Merrill Lynch and Madison Square Garden, where he gained early exposure to institutional finance, corporate operations, and complex business environments. He later founded and built a successful CPA firm, which he owned and operated for approximately 20 years before successfully selling the practice.
Following the sale of his firm, Joel transitioned into the biotech and life sciences sector as Chief Financial Officer of a startup biotech/life sciences company. As part of the executive team, he helped raise approximately $30 million in capital from three publicly held pharmaceutical companies, providing financial leadership during a highly sophisticated growth and financing stage. While in that role, he also structured the purchase of a medical records software company needed to integrate into one of the company’s subsidiaries, as well as the purchase of a medical advertising company spun off from Interpublic Group. These transactions further expanded his experience in strategic acquisitions, corporate integration, and growth-oriented deal structuring.
Joel later served as CFO and COO of Metrokane, the company behind the world-famous Rabbit corkscrew and related consumer products. During his tenure, he helped grow the company approximately 20-fold, overseeing finance, operations, strategic planning, and business scaling. He also played a key role in engineering the company’s successful sale to a private equity firm.
In addition to his corporate and entrepreneurial background, Joel has expanded into the entertainment sector and is currently working on his second off-Broadway production as Executive Producer.
